RETREAT FACILITATORS

Vikki and Tanya who run MeTreat Retreats are both busy working mothers who know how important it is to invest in regular self-care to maintain both physical and mental wellbeing. They know how hard the juggle can be through personal experience. They too spent much of 2020 and 2021 in lockdown with their 5 sons juggling distance learning, investing in their health and wellbeing, managing their businesses and maintaining their households!

During the second Melbourne lockdown in 2020, they ran The VITAlity Festival -  a free online 9 day health and wellness festival for frontline workers and anyone else adversely affected by the COVID pandemic. You can find out more about us here.

GUEST PRESENTER - MELUSINA, NAVEL GAZERS BELLY DANCE MELBOURNE

Melusina is a powerhouse in the Middle Eastern dance world. For over 28 years Melusina has been one of the most sought after and influential performers, instructors and choreographers in Australia with a strong presence in Orientale dance internationally.

 

Melusina has performed in Egypt, America and New Zealand and has studied under many masters in traditional Egyptian and contemporary Tribal dance styles. She has become known for her powerful, emotive stage presence and impeccable technical skill.

 

Regarded as one of Australia’s foremost instructors and choreographers, Melusina is also known as one of the most generous and fun. She has taught in several countries and frequently travels around Australia teaching and performing her unique styles.

GUEST PRESENTER - MICHELLE VASSALLO, DIRECTOR RHYTHM DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION

Michelle Vassallo has specially designed her workshops and webinars with a focus on making them comprehensive and relevant to all those people that are looking to understand and improve themselves through their own dedication and positivity. 

Michelle teaches a range of unique and original training courses and seminars. You’ll discover how to build your resilience, find your focus and get motivated and committed with these well-structured and highly informative workshops and webinars.

Inspirational and rewarding, these workshops also allow you to band together with like-minded souls  - sharing learning and time with others who are on the same journey, searching for the same answers.

A dedicated educator with many years of experience in the field of self development, she guarantees a fun and dynamic learning journey for everyone.

GUEST PRESENTER - VIVIENNE DERWENT, V'NUTRI

Vivienne Derwent has a wealth of knowledge in all things health, having had 28 years' experience in the wellness sector. She commenced her career in allied health, having started working life in general nursing at the  Royal Melbourne Hospital. Since then, apart from a brief foray into the Insurance industry, she has spent most of her working life in the health and wellness sector, working and studying in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia. During that time, she has worked as a tutor, presenter, personal trainer, clinical nutritionist, Yoga/Pilates teacher and group fitness instructor.

Vivienne is passionate about all things to do with health, has a real zest for life and loves helping her clients add more life to their years, rather than the other way round. Her mantra is “we all have the potential to become younger, stronger, fitter, better, healthier and wealthier (because there is wealth in your health) as we get older”. She invites all her clients to try that mantra for themselves, especially if they are ‘ahem’ a fraction over 25!

CATERING

  • All attendees will be provided with freshly prepared healthy and gourmet catering made with love by our personal retreat caterer. 

  • We will be providing all meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

  • Organic herbal teas and coffee will be made available for the duration of the retreat.

  • Menu adjustments can be made for participants with specific dietary requirements. 

  • A range of wines will be served with dinner.

  • Queen Bed with Shower (SOLD OUT) $2390 pp

  • Single Bed with Shower: Twin Share only - 2 friends need to book (3 rooms available) $2090 pp

 

Our prices will increase as below from Monday 26 September 2022

  • Single Bed with Shower Solo Occupancy $2360 pp or Single Bed with Shower: Twin Share  (2 rooms available) $2160 pp

SAFETY

We understand that safety and hygiene are on everyone's minds right now. Our priority is to make you feel relaxed, safe and secure whilst you are on your retreat:

  • Continental House, Hepburn has a COVID Safety Plan and has certification stating that they are permitted to run a COVID safe hospitality venue. The plan is constantly updated to align with the latest guidelines.

 

  • The retreat venue will be thoroughly cleaned prior to our stay. Conti's staff clean to align with their COVID safety plan.

 

  • All guests must adhere to the current COVID-regulations as per the Victorian DHHS website prior to their stay. Mask rules and dining guidelines will be compliant with the restrictions of the day.

 

  • Conti's communal areas are sanitised and cleaned daily, with high touch areas and surfaces being sanitised throughout the day. Hand sanitisers are provided in all communal areas plus bacterial handwash in all the bedrooms. 

 

  • All beds have luxury linen and fresh, clean towels are provided for your convenience. 

 

  • The venue is spacious with lots of breakout areas. We will be able to space ourselves out for all activities.

 

  • Guests will be asked to fill out a Hammam Consent Form prior to entering the Hammam which has a maximum capacity of 8 guests.

 

  • We request that guests do not attend the retreat if they test positive to COVID, have a fever, are sick with cold/flu symptoms, or have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the 7 days prior to the retreat.

 

  • If guests become unwell on the retreat, we will ask them to immediately return to their room and quarantine from the rest of the group. We will provide them with a RAT test which will determine the next course of action. Guests may be asked to leave the retreat even if they test negative to COVID. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.  

  • We recommend that guests investigate purchasing domestic travel insurance when booking into the retreat to cover them for cancellation due to ill health. We are currently investigating insurance policies and will advise accordingly.

 

Due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding COVID-19, we will make a firm decision on whether it is feasible and safe for the retreat to go ahead by Sunday 23 October 2022.

To secure your spot at the retreat, please contact us at contact@metreatretreats.com to advise us that you are keen and to let us know what type of room you would like to book. 

We will organise to have a chat with you on the phone to find out a little more about you and how we can best serve your needs. This is also your opportunity to ask us any questions that you have about the retreat.

 

We will let you know what rooms are still available and then we will ask you to make payment of a non-refundable $500 Retreat Deposit to secure your spot and room at the retreat.

We have had a great deal of interest in this retreat so please do get in touch with us if you are keen and would like to find out more,  as we would hate for you to miss out!
