Discovering Amarant - a haven from the chaos and stresses of today's world

I knew from the moment that I drove through the magical temperate-rainforest in the Yarra Ranges National Park that I had found the perfect venue to hold my mums' retreats.

It was hard to believe that I was only 75kms north of Melbourne - I felt all the stress of city living and the daily grind melting away as I was enveloped by the natural beauty that houses the boutique Amarant Retreat.

When I entered the building I just fell in love. It was so cosy, beautifully decorated, thoughtfully laid out, with beautiful views in all directions. I could just imagine myself sipping tea in one of the sunken lounges in front of the fireplace, or sitting out on one of the outdoor balconies enjoying the amazing views. The view overlooking the valley from the Celestial yoga/mediation room was spectacular.

The retreat's manager, Jules Taylor was warm, hospitable and helpful and very enthusiastic about the concept of encouraging self care for mums at Amarant. Jules explained that delicious vegetarian meals would be provided to the group by Amarant's in house Chef and that all we needed to to do was sit back and enjoy.

I knew that this was a special place where mums could come together, exercise, relax, create, connect, have fun and leave feeling restored and re-energised.
